Everybody loves having a clean and presentable home. To have it free of bacteria, to looks welcoming & pleasant and smelling clean & fresh. Many people all over the country will do everything they can to sanitise their home as much as they possibly can. The main type of cleaning we give your carpet for a pristine look and feel is by hot water extraction.
Whilst a percentage of the public use some sort of carpet shampoo and vacuum cleaner, high power water extraction catches dirt, grime and allergens that many people cannot see or remove on their own. Water extraction has already proven to be exceptionally beneficial in a variety of ways:
Eliminates Bacteria & Allergens
Our hot water extraction method of cleaning and the cleaning products we use, gets rid of allergens such as dust mites and pet dander; things that many carpet cleaners wouldn’t be able to get rid of on their own. We can breathe easy (literally) knowing those allergens have been removed. The germs associated with dirt and grime are also cleaned away with this type of cleaning. Not only are your allergies being kept at bay, but your chances of getting ill have lowered dramatically.
It’ll Look as Good as New
A filthy carpet doesn’t just look bad, it also smells bad.
Vacuuming your carpet collects particles of dust and dirt within the carpet. The underside of our shoes includes grime and oil. When they come into continuous contact with your carpet, it can grind away at the gloss of your carpet and soil it.
How often should you deodorize and clean your carpet? That really depends on the volume of people who come into contact with your carpets.
You also need to consider if you have children because they’re like to spill food and drink on the carpet.
Below is the 12 step process that we undertake for each and every job.
Step 1: Pre-Inspection
Our technician will walk through your home with you to visually inspect the carpet. He will identify potential permanent stains and give you an evaluation of expected results.
Step 2: Commercial Pre-vacuum
Dry soil is removed by a thorough vacuuming. Removing dry soil is one of the most important steps in cleaning.
Step 3: Furniture Moving
Our regular pricing includes moving sofas, chairs, tables & smaller items. Beds, dressers, and heavier pieces are left in place under our regular pricing structure. One of our consultants can quote the exact cost of any heavier items which you require moving.
Step 4: Pre-spray
A preconditioning agent (or agitator) is applied to break down traffic area soil and general spots for more thorough cleaning.
Step 5: Pre-spot …. if required (stain removal) *
Difficult spots are pre-treated with special solutions to increase chances of removal.
Step 6: Pre-grooming
A professional carpet groomer is used to further loosen the soil.
Step 7: Soil Extraction and Rinse
The carpet is then thoroughly rinsed with our powerful extraction cleaning system without over-wetting the carpet or leaving a sticky residue behind.
Step 8: Neutraliser
Every carpet that we clean is pH balanced so that there is no sticky residue left behind. This also leaves your carpet soft and fresh.
Step 9: Post Spot (stain removal) *
Any spots or stains still remaining will get extra treatment with our many specialty spotting solutions. For longer carpet life and fewer permanent stain, it’s best to have professional carpet protector applied to your carpet.
Step 10: Post Groom
Your carpet is groomed with a professional groomer so that the pile of your carpet is standing tall when we leave. Post grooming helps the carpet pile dry faster and in the right position.
Step 11: Speed Dry
High power dryers are placed on the carpet immediately after cleaning to promote faster drying, or windows are simply opened in warmer weather to let the airflow.
Step 12: Post Cleaning Inspection
Our technician will walk through your home with you to point out the cleaning results to make sure that you are completely satisfied with the job.
* Extra costs may apply, depending on the severity of the stain
In the average household, vacuuming should be done at least twice a week…
Now here’s the surprising bit of advice. If you want to extend the life of your carpet, it is important to have it professionally cleaned at least once a year. Dirty carpets not only look bad, they’re loaded with pollutants and grime. These dirt particles act like sandpaper, breaking down carpet fibers every time you walk on them. That’s why it’s important to clean carpets regularly. Most carpet manufacturers recommend the steam cleaning method. This penetrates deep into the fibers and lifts out the dirt and the many pollutants we track in on our shoes. Also, it removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry fast.
Mould grows abundantly in areas where humidity is high. Plumbing leaks that deposit small amounts of water on or under carpet provide a fertile growing medium for mould and mildew. Mould and mildew are unsightly but even more importantly are dangerous to your health. The spores can become airborne which makes them easy to breathe; they can cause allergic reactions or even trigger asthma attacks. Other moulds simply settle on surfaces and grow in colonies.
We use a Stainguard with added Allergyshield…
A high concentrate solvent based fluorocarbon stain protector and anti-allergy treatment for carpets, upholstery, rugs & curtains, formulated to resist staining, soiling and wear on carpets, upholstery and fine fabrics.
Now with added Allergyshield
A proven solution to the major cause of allergies. Will eradicate and protect against further precreaction of dust mites and the growth of fungal moulds and bacteria. Will also kill most other infestations including fleas, bed bugs, moths, cockroaches etc.
Long Lasting Properties
The product we use; Stainguard plus Allergyshield remains effective continuously. As with all products of this type, a thorough washing process will remove them and they should be re-applied for continuous protection.
Applegreen have carpet cleaning and related services like pet stain removal. We apply stainguard (as previously mentioned), which is formulated to repel future pet accidents and other stains. We also use odour-absorbing substances to eliminate pet odours and other smells. Most new carpets come with a protective coating, but it wears off over time. This service will restore that extra layer of protection.
We use a state of the art 600psi carpet extraction. A method that is similar to steam cleaning but just as effective. It includes pre-treatment for stains (we use special solutions for tackling wine, coffee, beer, blood and other spots) as well as for high-traffic areas, dirt patches and etc. Over 97% of the dirt will be removed. The pressure created from the sprayed agitator, moves all dirt and grime particles, making it easy to extract and eliminate.
We also use an air mover as part of the service to speed up the drying process – it is an industrial size fan that vastly reduces the carpet drying time.
Suitable for: fabrics made of synthetic or wool fibres.
